Fork one of 8 finished AI apps, launch a real, paid product this weekend, and still be able to work on it in six months

It does not shrink the part you rebuild every time. It hides it, and then hands you the bill in week three.

It writes a session handler in forty seconds, which feels like a miracle, and then three weeks later it edits something unrelated and quietly undoes it, because it never knew why it wrote it that way in the first place. There was no decision. There was only output.

And here is the part that took me longest to admit: handing that agent a finished codebase does not fix it either. Auth and billing already being written just gives it more to break. It will still add a second auth check beside the one that works, still write its own query where a helper exists, still leave you a payments module with two ways to do everything.

So the repo does not just hand it code. It hands it constraints.

An agent inventing code from an empty folder is a coin flip you keep paying to toss. An agent inside a codebase that tells it the rules, and a command that checks whether it followed them, is the thing everybody is being sold and almost nobody actually has.
